I am delighted that you found your way to this page. I know how important it is to find the right therapist. I offer 20-minute consults so you can get a sense of me and how we could work together and decide if it feels like a good fit for you.
It is my greatest gift to get to hold a safe and supportive space for folks to explore and find what is true for them. I believe we are all born innately good, creative and self-actualizing. Meaning that you have within you all you need to create the life you were born to live. Sometimes traumatic experience (especially relational and cultural) causes one to disconnect from the body and distrust their inner wisdom and sensings.
When we do not feel safe within, it is hard to land inside and step into our destiny and deepest empowered values.
I specialize in helping survivors of trauma to learn to feel safe again. Once we can access a sense of safety in our system we can start to remember how to know, honor and trust ourselves to create a life of ease and fulfillment.
I like to work with folks who identify as being sensitive individuals and/or who struggle with addictions, unresolved trauma, health challenges, loss and grief, relationship/communication issues, and blocked creativity to name a few. I consider myself a cis-gendered ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.
I am a trauma-informed person-centered therapist. I have specialized trainings in Somatic Experiencing® (192+ hours of an ongoing three-year certification) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy® (Level 1: Training in Affect Dysregulation, Survival Defenses, and Traumatic Memory, 80 hours). I also have trainings in and utilize expressive art therapy such as painting, drawing, writing exercises and sand tray explorations. Creative expression used for self-discovery is a gentle way to gain deep insight and integration as well as reclaim play and inner aliveness.
I look forward to hearing from you!
